Founder Story
Fashion has always been in my DNA since I was a kid — and I’ve always believed that style should feel both personal, expressive and effortless.
As the founder and creative force behind New York label, Alice & Trixie, I spent years immersed in the fast-paced world of fashion design. My days were filled with fabric sourcing, design meetings, fittings, and the constant pursuit of the next hot style. I loved bringing my creative vision to life and seeing my designs transform from sketches to garments that made women feel beautiful and confident.
Everything changed when I adopted Chloe, my rescue chihuahua mix with soulful eyes and a personality bigger than her tiny frame. From the moment she came home with me, I knew my life would never be the same. As a New Yorker, I wanted to take Chloe everywhere—coffee shops, meeting friends for brunch, work, shopping—but I quickly discovered a frustrating reality…. the lack of fashionable pet carriers.
What I found was a sea of shapeless flimsy slings, boring totes and bulky backpacks. Nothing matched my style or my lifestyle. So I did what I know best: I designed my own.
I created a modern, elevated, cross body carrier — one that allowed Chloe to sit upright and take in the world, not disappear into a saggy sling, while I was able to remain hands-free. It was chic, practical, and turned heads on every sidewalk. The compliments poured in, and I realized: this wasn’t just a personal fix — it was a gap in the market.
That’s how Fang & Bone was born. A brand built on the belief that style and function can co-exist — and that our dogs deserve better than the bottom shelf of a big-box pet aisle or the same old cheaply-made inexpensive options sold on Amazon. I hope you agree.
